A Swiss lever made by Patek Philippe in Geneva in a stainless steel open faced case, circa 1940. Keyless nickel bar movement with 18 jewels, a going barrel, plain cock with polished steel micrometre regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring, club foot lever escapement and escape pivots with endstones, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions. Signed white metal dial with Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel Breguet hands. The plain case with a clip-on back, signed Patek, Philippe & Co Genève – Acier Staybrite. Comes with a gilt tooled blue morocco presentation box lined with blue velvet, signed Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd.
