Gold minute repeating lever pocket watch

A fine Swiss, 18K gold hunting cased, minute repeating, keyless pocket watch, circa 1880. Made for the Hispanic market. The case is decorated with floral, foliate and geometric chased decoration with a blank cartouche on the front cover. Hinged gold cuvette with engine-turned border, glazed gold-rimmed cover to view the movement. Silver and gold dial with painted radial Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds, outer dot minute track, engraved and applied with a cast gold floral decoration. Blued steel spade hands. A rhodium-plated movement with wavy-line decoration, 35 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Cuvette signed.
