Gold open faced keyless lever watch

A fine Swiss 14 carat pink gold open faced pocket watch made by Vacheron Constantin in Geneva, circa 1901. It has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement, spiral balance, and micrometric adjustment system, calibre RA 17. The white enamel dial shows black Arabic numerals for the hours, outer red 13 to 24 hour markers, a railway minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gold Louis XV style hands. The timepiece is housed in a round three body, 14 carat solid pink gold open faced case with a smooth polished back cover and bezel, featuring a fluted winding crown, a sturdy round suspension bow, and a signed inner cuvette. The watch is accompanied by an 18 carat gold chain weighing 15.47 g.
