Gold open faced keyless lever watch
–
A fine Swiss 14 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch made by IWC Schaffhausen, circa 1910. It has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement, signed International Watch Co. The white enamel dial features black Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gold spade hands. The watch is housed in a 14 carat yellow gold open faced case. The case back has a finely engine turned geometric pattern centring a vacant diamond shaped cartouche. It includes a metal bezel and a double metal inner cuvette decorated with the Grand Prix Milano 1906 commemorative medals. The watch is completed by a fluted winding crown and a sturdy round suspension bow.
