A pocket watch with quarter repeater, made by Patek, Philippe & Co in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1876. The numbered open faced case of this watch, which is crafted from 18 carat gold, has a monogram on the back lid. The white enamel dial has Arabic 5 minute numerals, Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and blued steel hands. The numbered movement has a fine early Patek, Philippe precision lever escapement, a quarter repeater and wolf’s toothing.
The case and cuvette have matching numbers and the cuvette is signed.
