A very fine and especially large Swiss 18-carat gold and enamel lever pocket watch, circa 1830.
Movement with unusual lever escapement with an early form of the moustache lever. White enamel dial with Roman hours, outer minute divisions, and gold fleur-de-lys hands. A unique case design with a double cord band, white enamelled in between, the back with polychrome enamel painted river landscape, in the background translucent dark blue enamel over engine turning.
