Aiguilles
In pocket watch making, “aiguilles” refers to the hands of the watch. These are the components that indicate the time on the watch face, typically including the hour hand, minute hand, and sometimes a second hand. The design and craftsmanship of the aiguilles are crucial, as they not only serve a functional purpose but also contribute to the overall aesthetic of the watch. Aiguilles can vary in style, material and finish, reflecting the artistry and precision involved in horology.
