Fine gold splendour case watch

A fine gold full hunter case watch with minute repeater and splendour case, made by Rueff Frères in la Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, circa 1910. This watch features an 18 carat gold case adorned with exceptional detailing. The surface is beautifully engraved and engine turned in a variety of patterns, creating a striking two tone effect on both the front and the back. The cuvette is engraved with the gold medals from Bordeaux 1907. The white enamel dial features an outer minutes track, Arabic hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and blued steel hands. The movement is fitted with a lever escapement and a minute repeater.
