The white enamel dial has Arabic hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold hands. The cuvette is engraved with the medals won in Genève 1896 and Paris 1900 and the numbered precision lever movement has an anker chronometer escapement, 15 rubies, a spiral Breguet and a fine adjusting device.

A “spiral Breguet” or “Breguet over coil” in pocket watch making refers to a specific design of the hairspring, the delicate spring that regulates the balance wheel’s oscillations. The over coil is the outermost coil of the hairspring, which is curved upwards and inwards, passing over the other coils. This design, invented by Abraham-Louis Breguet, helps the hairspring expand and contract concentrically, improving accuracy and reducing positional errors.
