Museum like gold and enamel pendant watch
–
A gold and enamel pendant watch with chatelaine in the original box, made by A. Golay-Leresche & Fils in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1880. The numbered open faced case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold and has an enamel painting, set with rose cut diamonds, representing a heron fishing on the back lid. The chatelaine, which comes with a small brooch to attach it, is decorated with the same motif and the numbered cuvette is marked with the address of the company in Paris. The white enamel dial has Arabic five minute numerals, Roman hour numerals and filigree steel hands. The movement has a fine cylinder escapement and wolf’s toothing.
The cuvette and box are signed.
