Gold open faced lever watch
–
A quarter repeating pocket watch made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, Switzerland, circa 1876. The numbered open faced case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold and has a monogram on the back lid. The white enamel dial has Roman hours, an outer minute track, outermost Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and blued steel spade hands. The movement has a fine and early Patek Philippe precision lever escapement with wolf’s tooting.
Case and movement have matching numbers, and the cuvette is signed.
