Rose gold Louis XV pocket watch

A rare Louis XV pocket watch made by Patek, Philippe & Cο in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1880. Retailed by Peret & Neveu in Clermont-Ferrand in France. The open faced case of this watch is crafted from 18 carat rose gold, it has engine turning on the reverse with a central monogram and polished bezels. The beautiful white enamel dial has blue Roman hours, rose gold half hour markers, rose gold Arabic five minute numerals and golden Louis XV hands. The numbered movement has a cylinder escapement with wolf’s tooth winding.
Case, cuvette and movement have matching numbers, and the case and cuvette are signed.
