An elegant Swiss gentleman’s dress watch, made for Maurer y Ca., Barcelona, Spain, circa 1880. Accompanied by Patek Philippe certificate from 1881.
18-Carat rose gold, à goutte case with monogram. Signed enamel dial with Arabic numerals, red outer minutes track with five minutes numerals, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and gold Louis XV hands. Signed, frosted gilt 3/4 movement with wolf-teeth winding wheels, lever escapement, gold screw compensation balance, blued balance spring with a terminal curve, and index spring fine adjusting device, counterpoised lever.
