A fine Swiss, 18 carat yellow gold, open faced, keyless pocket watch, circa 1919.
Patek Philippe & Co. Genève made for Shreve & Co. San Francisco. A polished case, plain hinged case back. Champagne dial with central sunburst pattern, black fancy Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel Breguet hands. A rhodium-plated movement, 18 jewels, movement stamped with Geneva hallmark, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement a moustache, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with eight adjustments, blued steel Breguet balance spring, patented cam regulation. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed.
