A Swiss split seconds chronograph with 30 min. counter for the American market, circa 1910.
18 carat gold polished case with monogram “GK”, chronograph pusher at “11” and gold dome with presentation engraving: “Gustav Klein from his American friends Wm. E. Gilbert, Geo. M. Hendee, Nov. 1911“. Signed enamel dial with Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, 30 min. counter, centre chronograph hand and blued spade hands. 3/4 plate movement, rhodium-plated, with “fausses côtes” decoration, 6 adj., 25 jewels, very finely ground and bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, screw compensation balance and index spring fine adjusting device.
