An extremely rare Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless chronograph pocket watch with pulsometer scale made by Vacheron & Constantin in Geneva, circa 1920. This watch was completed in April 1920 and delivered to R. Carassale, the agent of Vacheron & Constantin in Montevideo, Uruguay, on June 21, 1920. The case with an engine turned back, and polished bezels, pendant and bow. White enamel dial with bold radial Roman hours, an outer minute and fifth of a second track, an outermost red pulsometer scale graduated to 30 pulsations, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and original hands. The movement with a rare caliber, 20 jewels, an anchor chronometer escapement, extremely large balance, a column wheel chronograph, an index regulator with swan neck spring and a micrometric screw. Dial, case and movement signed. Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives, dated November 10, 1994, confirming this watch was made in 1919 and sold in 1920.
