A fine and rare Swiss 18K gold and enamel apple-form watch with a concealed dial, circa 1810. A fermée type case, entirely decorated in tones of blue and green, flowers in champlevé enamel, painted on enamel fly, the spring-loaded top opening to reveal the dial, twisted gold wire stalk. White enamel dial, Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions and gold Breguet hands. A hinged, gilt-brass full plate movement, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, plain three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental cock, regulation dial.
