A very fine Swiss, 18K gold and enamel, a keyless hunting cased pocket watch with Patek Philippe fitted box, circa 1901. Retailed by Ges. Philip, Correspt. 4 Rue de la Paix, Paris. Made in 1901, sold on January 7, 1902. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. A polished case, the spring-loaded front cover decorated with a monogram of two interlaced and reversed “L”. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. A frosted gilt movement, bar calibre, 21 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, moustache lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, snail regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Property of a Swiss Gentleman.
