Gold open faced keyless lever watch with minute repeater
–
A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch with minute repeating complication made by Touchon & Co in Geneva, circa 1910. This watch has a mechanical crown winding, nickel plated movement with a decorative finish, a lever escapement, a fine regulator system, and a minute repeater mechanism striking two gongs, activated by a slide on the band, signed Touchon. The white enamel dial shows black Arabic numerals for the hours, a railway minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock with an Audemars Piguet signature, and blued steel pear shaped hands. The timepiece is housed in a smooth, polished, round three body 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced Lepine case, featuring a smooth bezel, a polished hinged protective back cover, a fluted winding crown, and a sturdy round suspension bow.
