Gold half-hunting cased pocket watch

A very fine Swiss, five-minute repeating, 18K gold, enamel and pearl-set, half-hunting cased, keyless pocket watch, circa 1880. The front cover with royal blue champleve enamel radial Roman numerals surrounded by pearls, a minute track around the glazed aperture, polished band, and the back cover with blue enamel monogram surrounded by pearls. Hinged gold cuvette with engraved inscription.

Gold dial with floral engraving to centre, radial black Roman numerals, outer minute dots, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel double spade hands. A matte gilt movement, 29 jewels some in gold screwed chatons, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with a terminal curve, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Case numbered.
