A rare Swiss 18K pink gold quarter repeating pocket watch with multicoloured gold striking Jacks, circa 1830. An Empire, engine-turned case. Gilt brass springloaded cuvette fitted to the movement ring. Gold dial with Arabic numerals on white enamel chapter plaques, outer minute-ring, the centre white enamel, applied multicoloured gold Jacks strike bells during repeating on a royal blue enamel background and blued steel Breguet hands. A frosted gilt movement, full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusée and chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance with flat balance spring, pierced and engraved continental balance cock with polished steel endplate, silver regulation dial, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the pendant, automaton driven via repeating train.
