Gold open faced keyless lever watch
–
A fine Swiss 18 carat white gold open faced pocket watch made by Inter Watch Co. in Geneva, circa 1920. It has a high grade crown winding mechanical manual movement featuring a lever escapement with ruby pallets, signed Chronometre Inter Geneve. The matte silver coloured dial shows applied Arabic numerals for the hours, a concentric outer dotted minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and steel Breguet style hands. The dial bears a Chronometre Inter Genève signature curved below the 12 o’clock marker. The timepiece is housed in a refined three body, 18 carat solid white gold open faced case. It features an engraved and chased geometric foliate pattern along the bezel and case edge, a fluted winding crown, and a matching suspension bow. The watch is presented in its original vintage case.

Inter Watch Co., often recognised by collectors as a distinct brand or private label from the early 20th century, is a vintage Swiss watchmaker separate from the renowned IWC Schaffhausen (International Watch Company). Inter Watch Co. pieces are primarily known for antique pocket watches and vintage mechanical wristwatches. These watches typically date from the late 19th century to the mid 20th century. They usually feature traditional Swiss manual wind movements, often housed in gold or sterling silver cases. While not associated with modern luxury manufacture, vintage Inter Watch Co. timepieces are collectable examples of historical Swiss artisanal watchmaking.
