A very fine, 18K rose gold Swiss, Chronometro Gondolo, keyless pocket watch, circa 1910. Made for Gondolo & Laboriau, Relojoeiros, Rio de Janeiro. An engine-turned case back, hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with five-minute Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds. Pink gold spade hands.

A frosted gilt movement, patented bridge calibre, 18 jewels, gold train, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, eccentric cam micrometre cam regulator, wolf’s tooth winding. Dial, case and movement signed.
