Gold, enamel and rose-cut diamond pocket watch

A charming French 18K gold, enamel and rose-cut diamond quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1780. A Louis XVI case, the bezel set with rose-cut diamonds within a chased gold leaf and berry border highlighted with translucent green and red enamel, the pendant set with a large diamond, the bow further set with diamonds, the back decorated with translucent royal blue enamel with an applied diamond-set lattice, outer border decorated to match the bezel.

White enamel dial with radial Arabic numerals, outer minute track with Arabic five-minute numerals. Rose-cut diamond- set fleur-de-lys hands. Matte gilt full plate movement, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, pierced and chased continental cock with polished steel endplate, silvered regulation dial, repeating on a bell in the back of the case activated by depressing the pendant. Dial and movement signed.
