A fine, small, manual wind 18K yellow gold open faced Swiss pocket watch, circa 1872. Exhibited at the 1873 universal exhibition in Vienna.
Matte gilt brass movement, bar calibre, straight-line lever escapement. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds, and gold spade hands. Polished 18K yellow gold case, flat band. Accompanied by a fitted box, certificate, and confirmation letter from Paul Audemars. Signature on the dial, case and movement.
