A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, made by Patek Philippe & Co. Geneva Switzerland, circa 1914. This watch features a 17″‘ calibre ligne movement with 20 jewels and lever escapement. It has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals, an external railway minute track, and a subsidiary seconds dial. The open faced bassine style case is made of 18 carat yellow gold with a hinged back and cuvette. The case, dial, and movement are signed. It comes with a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the date of sale as October 26, 1916.

Cuvette personally inscribed, Presented to those monks, his fellow officers of the Guardian Savings and Trust Co., August 31, 1916. The case back is monogrammed TEM.

The case exhibits visible surface scratches and scuffing throughout, with a light patina. The dial is in overall very good condition, and the enamel dial remains intact without visible hairlines. There are light surface marks and dust throughout, consistent with age. The hands show some wear and loss. There is heavier wear around the opening of the hinged case back. The movement is running.
