Gold open faced keyless lever chronograph

An exceptional and rare Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket chronograph made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1928. This watch has a mechanical manual winding movement with a lever escapement, signed Patek Philippe & Cie. Genève. The white enamel dial has black Arabic numeral hour markers, an outer minute and fifths of a second track with Arabic numerals numbered 5 to 60, vertically aligned subsidiary registers, a 30 minute register at 12 o’clock, a continuous seconds dial at 6 o’clock, a large blued steel central chronograph seconds hand, and gold spade hands, signed Patek Philippe & Cie. Genève. The timepiece is housed in an 18 carat yellow gold open faced case with a polished finish, a round suspension bow, a fluted crown with integrated chronograph monopusher, and a hinged back that opens to reveal a gold cuvette and pristine movement.
