A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch chronometer made by Vacheron Constantin SA in Geneva, circa 1910. This watch has a mechanical crown winding gilt brass movement with a lever escapement, a cut bimetallic balance wheel, and a blued steel Breguet balance spring system, signed Vacheron Constantin. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and blued steel pear shaped hands, signed Vacheron & Constantin Genève. The timepiece is housed in a polished round three body, 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced case with a smooth, polished reverse back cover, a fluted winding crown, a sturdy round suspension bow, and a solid 18 carat gold inner cuvette engraved Chronomètre Bulletin de 1ère classe de l’Observatoire de Genève.
