Silver Art Deco purse watch
–
A rare Art Deco purse watch with enamelled case made by Rolex in Geneva, Switzerland, circa 1925-1930. The silver case is a stunning example of the intricate and delicate craftsmanship that went into creating this timepiece. The engine turned design adds depth and texture to the watch, while the blue translucent enamelling gives it a smooth and polished finish. The original dial bears a double signature, it further features Arabic hour numerals, an inner minute track and luminous cathedral hands. The rhodium plated movement has 15 jewels, a straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance and flat balance spring.
Case and dial are signed.
