Silver open faced doctor’s watch

A rare Swiss silver open faced chronograph pocket watch with a pulsation and respiration scale made by Longines in Saint-Imier, circa 1928. Retailed by Cuervo y Sobrinos. The gilt finished lever movement with 17 jewels. A silver cuvette engraved Longines, 7 Grands Prix, Chronographe Compteur. White enamel dial with black Breguet hours, a minute and fifth of a second track with red Arabic five minute numerals, an outer red pulsometer scale graduated to 30 pulsations, outermost black respiration scale graduated to 5 respirations, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, a 30 minute counter at 12 and blued steel moon hands. The plain case with a chronograph button in the gilded crown. Case, cuvette and movement signed by the watchmaker, dial signed by the watchmaker and retailer.
