Silver Art Deco purse watch

A rare Art Deco purse watch in an enamelled case made by Rolex in Geneva, Switzerland, circa 1925-1930. This exquisite watch features a silver, engine turned and multi coloured enamel case, which is signed Rolex on the inside and boasts a patented opening mechanism that adds to the watch’s allure. It has an original two tone dial with Arabic hour numerals, a square minute track, sunk center and luminous syringe hands. The rhodium plated movement is manually wound, has 15 jewels, a straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance and flat balance spring.
