A fine and rare Swiss 18K gold hunting cased watch with pivoted detent escapement, circa 1870.
Gilt movement with fusee and chain, jewels in screwed chatons, chronometer escapement with pivoted detent, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold ovoid weights, mean time adjustment screws, blued steel helical balance spring, index regulator.
18 Carat gold engine-turned case, hinged and sprung front cover.Hinged gold cuvette.
White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel fancy hands. Cuvette signed, dial, case and cuvette numbered.
