A heavy Swiss deck chronometer of the “Kaiserlichen Kriegsmarine” (“German Imperial navy”), circa 1910.
Sterling silver polished case with an engraved emblem of the Imperial Crown, “M” and the figures “2196” of the “Kaiserlichen Marine” (Imperial Marine). Signed enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and blued spade hands. Bridge movement, frosted, gilt, with gold screw compensation balance and index spring fine adjusting device.
