Open faced dress watch with chatelaine by Inter Watch Co.

A most decorative, Swiss diamond-set Art Deco dress watch with chatelaine from velvet and white gold, circa 1930. A large diamond on the pendant, brilliant cut diamonds all around the case and the bow as well as the fine platinum case convey precious elegance. The dial is also remarkable with unique blue numerals.
Platinum case, on the back engraved crest under a duke’s crown. Signed silvered dial with blue Arabic numerals, outer minutes track, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and gold Breguet hands. Divided 3/4 plate movement, screw compensation balance.

Notz Frères & Cie, Swiss watch manufacture
Notz Frères & Cie was founded by Armand Notz in La Chaux-de-Fonds as Armand Notz. Since later it was about “Frères” (brothers), co-owners Albert Arthur Notz, Auguste Edouard Notz and Louis Auguste Notz were also possible. The company was also called Armand Notz, Fabrique Inter and Inter Watch Co. In the beginning there were 6 to 10 ½ line plants in the production area. Later pocket chronometer from 16 to 18 ½ lignes. A pocket watch no. 11247 is even inscribed “Chronometer Inter” Geneva-Paris. At the chronometer tests in 1924the company received 7 bulletins 1e classe avec mention and 7 bulletins sans mention (chronometer certificate). The company in La Chaux-de-Fonds was based at 107 Rue de la Paix. Mann also supplied works to Tiffany .
