Gold key wind pocket watch

A fine and very rare key wind dress watch made by Vacheron in Geneva, Switzerland, circa 1830. The solid open faced case, crafted from 18 carat yellow gold, has a bezel and back rim with vermicelli decoration, a fluted band, an engine turned back and a hinged gilt cuvette. The silver guilloché dial has painted radial Roman hour numerals, outer minute divisions, a center engraved with floral decoration and yellow gold Breguet hands. The gilt brass movement is fitted with four jewels, a cylinder escapement, three arm steel balance and blued steel flat balance spring. The cuvette signed is signed.
