Ulysse Breting (1812-1891)
Ulysse Breting was high quality manufacturer from Le Locle. His company produced quality watches and precision watches. Breting’s pocket watches were in high demand and he received commissions from prestigious clients, such as creating a pivoted detent chronometer for the British market in 1887. His watches were known for their exceptional quality and precision. In 1860 the company was awarded a gold medal at the World Exhibition in Besancon and in 1875 it won fourth place in an observatory test at Neuchâtel for a detent pocket chronometer.

This watch needs to be overhauled as the movement does not run and spring lid is defect. The dial, on the other hand, is in very good condition as is the case.
