A large Swiss gilt metal open faced musical quarter repeating watch with automaton, circa 1830.
Gilt two train movement, steel balance wheel, music mounted on the top plate, the automaton consisting of two vari-colour gold figures of a man tapping his foot and a lady playing the lyre over blue enamel ground.
White enamel hour reserve, Arabic numerals, outer minute track. Engine turned case, gilt cuvette, repeater activated by depressing the button to the bow, the music and automaton activated by moving a slide to the case band, case with makers mark JJ.
