A fine Swiss gold painted-on enamel lady’s pendant watch, circa 1835. This beautiful watch features a gold case with scalloped edges and intricate engravings of foliage and scrolls on the bezel, pendant, and bow. The back cover features a delightful painted enamel scene of a young girl with her pet dog. The watch has a silver dial and a gilt movement. It was made by de Choudens, a renowned watchmaker active from 1828 to 1835. The watch is signed Dechoudens (script) A GENÈVE on the works. Inside the case, there is an impressed marking of EG within an oval.
