A Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond-set open faced cylinder pocket watch with matching brooch made for the Arab market, circa 1870. Cylinder movement, wolf-toothed winding wheels.
Engraved case back with the polychrome enamel portrait of an Arabic man, the headdress diamond-set. White enamel dial with radial Roman hours, outer minutes track with Arabic five-minute numerals and filigree steel hands. Comes with a corresponding gold, enamel and diamond-set brooch. Cuvette signed.
