An English gilded silver, enamel and pearl key winding pocket watch made by William Watson in London, circa 1840. A round shaped pocket watch with center seconds, made for the Chinese market. Green and orange translucent enamel over guilloché case back with a white enamel geometric pattern representing a rosaceous motif. An engraved case band, the bezel, pendant and bow set with half pearls. A white enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track with Arabic numerals at the quarters and blued steel hands. A mirror polished and blued steel Chinese style caliber movement, going barrel, duplex escapement, monometallic balance with blued steel wings, balance and blued steel flat hairspring, polished steel index regulator.
