A fine swiss stainless steel and black enamel keyless dress pocket watch with Class A observatory movement, circa 1940. A specially shaped case with black lacquered borders. Two-tone matte and brushed silver dial with black champlevé baton indexes. Arabic quarter-hour numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and blued steel lozenge hands. An Observatory-shaped, rhodium-plated movement, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance timed in six positions, with Rolex patent cap, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, and an index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
