A fine Swiss 18K yellow gold open faced chronometer pocket watch, circa 1910. Polished case with an engine turned back and a hinged gold cuvette engraved Chronomètre. White enamel dial with Roman hours, outer minute divisions, Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel moon hands. Glazed rhodium plated ½ plate movement with 25 jewels, the upper ones in screwed gold chatons, a counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring and micrometre index regulator with adjustment screw. Case signed and numbered.
