Gold, enamel, pearl and diamond-set watch

A very fine and rare Swiss 18K gold, enamel, pearl and diamond-set strawberry-form verge pendant watch, circa 1810. The back of the fruit in red enamel with half pearls for seeds, green enamel on top for the leaves set with graduated half pearls and alternately set with rose-cut diamonds, a spring-loaded bezel and gold stem form the pendant. Gold champlevé dial with radial Roman hours, outer minute dots, engine-turned centre and blued steel Breguet hands. Gilt-brass full plate movement, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, continental cock, rack and pinion regulator with a silver plate.
