Two colour gold open faced cylinder watch

A fine French 18 carat yellow gold, pink gold and enamel open faced keyless miniature pocket watch made by Jean-Antoine Lépine in Paris, circa 1890. The polished case features a hinged back cover with an engraved multicolour gold floral pattern centred by translucent blue enamel and engraved diamond set foliage, a further engraved bezel and band and hinged gold cuvette with initials. White enamel dial with painted Roman hours, an outer track for the minutes with Arabic five minute numerals and pink gold Louis XVI hands. A frosted gilt movement, cylinder escapement, three arm balance with flat balance spring and an index regulator. Dial, case and cuvette signed.
