Unsigned gold watch with polychrome enamel painted themes
–
A Swiss gold and enamel hunting cased keyless lever watch with equestrian hunting and an early aeronautical theme, circa 1910. This pocket watch features a frosted gilded movement with lever escapement, jewelled to the centre, a bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel overcoil spring, precision rack-form regulation, and a main-plate marked déposé. The gilded dial has an engine-turned centre, Arabic numerals, an outer minute ring, subsidiary seconds, and blued steel hands, and is marked La Reine. The gold case covers are decorated with polychrome enamel painted equestrian hunting scenes, with the back cover also featuring an early airborne propeller plane, opaque white enamel, and light blue guilloché enamel borders. The bezels and band are chased and engraved with flowers, foliage, and geometric motifs. The plain polished gold cuvette is engraved with Haute Precision, and all covers are marked with Swiss hallmarks. The back cover and cuvette are numbered 2/0190596, and the front cover is numbered.

The movement shows some tarnishing and a few light scratches on the plates. The dial is in very good condition, while the case is in good overall condition with a few minor scratches on the enamel panels. The chased and engraved decoration remains crisp and well-defined. The pendant is gold, but the bow is gold-plated.
