Only 10 pieces are noted today, mostly part of important collections and museums, a.o. the Patek Philippe Museum. Another piece is illustrated and described in E. Jaquet and A. Chapuis’s ‘Histoire et Technique de La Montre Suisse’ from 1945 and in A. Chapuis and E. Gelis ‘Le Monde des Automates’, Paris, 1928. All of the noted 10 pieces have some differences in the background decoration, the figures of the automaton are mostly identical. Some of these watches only have five motions, while others, like the present watch, have an automaton with seven motions.
