Gold keyless lever pocket watch

A historical Swiss 18 carat yellow gold half hunting cased keyless pendant watch made by Stauffer & Co., in La Chaux-de-Fonds, circa 1910. Minute repeater with a chronograph and minute counter. Minute repeater on two steel gongs by two hammers, activated by the slide at 6 o’clock. 1/5 second chronograph, activated by the olive-shaped push piece located on the case band at 12 o’clock. Instantaneous 30-minute counter, subsidiary dial at 12 o’clock. Cover and case back are polished, the cover is engraved with black enamelled radial Roman numerals.

The cuvette is engraved in taille-douce with the dedication For Long Service presented to John Gray. Together with a certificate on completing 15 years services with Lever Brothers, Limited, Port Sunlight, 24th June, 1913. A white enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for seconds and minute counting, and blued steel pear hands. A gilded brass movement, going barrel, straight line lever escapement, cut compensated balance and blued steel hairspring with terminal curve, polished steel index regulator. Signature on the movement.
