A fine Swiss 18K gold slim pocket watch with taille-douce engraving and a gold chatelaine with gold egg-form locket, circa 1845. The case with a coin-edge band, chased and engraved bezels, bow and pendant, the back engraved in taille douce, depicting people strolling in front of a building with a Doric colonnade, gold hinged cuvette. Silvered dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, central ground engine-turned with a view of a church and gold Breguet hands. A frosted gilt movement, eight jewels, bridge calibre, cylinder escapement, three-arm gilt balance with flat balance spring. Movement signed.
