Gold lever keyless pocket watch

A very fine English, 18K gold, half-hunting cased, keyless pocket watch with free-sprung balance, circa 1885. The case with London hallmarks for 1885 – 1886. The case is made by James Widmer (master mark), polished, spring-loaded front cover with champleve enamel radial Roman chapter ring with inner minute track. Dedicated hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. A frosted gilt movement, half-plate, going barrel, lateral lever escapement, free-sprung bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel balance spring with double overcoil. Dial and movement signed.
