A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch with vest chain made by Longines, circa 1920. It has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement, signed Longines Grand Prix. The white enamel dial features stylized black Arabic numerals for the hours, a fine outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and elegant gold Louis XV style filigree hands, signed Longines. The timepiece is housed in a substantial round three body 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced case. The reverse back cover is elaborately engraved with detailed floral and foliage scroll motifs, paired with a delicately fluted caseband, a fluted winding crown, and a sturdy round suspension bow. The watch comes with a matching heavy 18 carat solid yellow gold vest chain featuring robust twisted curb links and long oval interlocking links, complete with a secure swivel clasp and a large spring ring fastener.
